Online course "Video education - video production and media education"
Are you interested in the use of video in your classroom? Join our second online course for teachers across Europe for five days at the end of October. The course will offer concrete ideas about what you can do in your lesson, how you can integrate simple video exercises into your teaching practice and how a practical media approach can help the media competence of your students. The course is also a good resource for those involved in European school projects such as eTwinning or Comenius.
The course will take place on five days between the 18th October and 1st November. We will ‘meet’ online asynchronously on these days for around 2 hours for all tasks and discussions. In between those days you can choose the times when you want to work on the materials. The course content will include ideas about how to structure a video project, how to edit stills and video footage with Movie Maker, how to create a basic stop motion, how to upload and share online, what YouTube offers to improve your video but also how you can use web 2.0 tools to promote your work and connect with colleagues across Europe (and the world). The course is based on the ideas of the viducate project and will take place on the web20erc.eu learning platform.
The course is free of charge but you will need to apply via email (before the 10.10.2011). You will receive a certificate after you have finished the full course programme.
